Tabanidae.
Living in the country, we get lots of these beasties when it heats up in July-Aug. Fast flyers, hard biters, but very dumb. Once they get inside they are doomed to window-crawling and die within a day or two.
Very shallow depth of field at f/2.8 on the micro.
